Newsletter
How often it arrives
There is no fixed schedule. We write when there is something worth telling you, which is a couple of times a month at most and often less.
Your consent
You only get the newsletter if you ask for it, by typing your email address into one of the sign-up boxes on Avox. That action is your consent, and you can take it back at any time. Right after you sign up we send a welcome email so you know it worked, with an unsubscribe link in it.
Signing up again with an address that is already on the list changes nothing and sends nothing.
What we keep
For each subscriber we keep:
- your email address and whether you are subscribed;
- when you subscribed, and when you unsubscribed if you did;
- which sign-up box you used on our site;
- a record of your consent: the date, your IP address and browser type, and which version of our Privacy Policy was in force;
- a random private code that makes the unsubscribe links in our emails work.
We use this only to send the newsletter and to show that you agreed to it. We don't sell it or share it for anyone else's marketing. When you unsubscribe we keep the record, marked as unsubscribed, so we never email you by mistake. If you would rather we delete it entirely, write to us and we will.
In this browser, Avox also keeps a small note that you subscribed, so the footer says "You're subscribed" instead of asking again. It stays on your device and is explained in our Cookie Policy.
How to unsubscribe
Any of these works, and takes effect straight away:
- the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter email;
- your mail app's own Unsubscribe button, where it shows one;
- the box below.
